Ontario’s Aboriginal Education Strategy
Ontario’s Aboriginal Education Strategy is helping First Nation, Métis and Inuit students achieve their full potential. The strategy includes initiatives that support learning and achievement for Aboriginal students. It also helps raise awareness about First Nation, Métis and Inuit cultures, histories and perspectives in all Ontario classrooms.

Many Roots, Many Voices
Many Roots, Many Voices is designed to support teachers, principals, and other education professionals at the elementary and secondary levels in working effectively with English language learners. In it, you will find a rich source of practices and strategies that can be put to immediate use in the school and the classroom. You will also find an in-depth exploration of the English language learner, and an annotated list of references and resources for further reading and study.
Growing Success
| Since September 2010, assessment, evaluation, and reporting for students in Grades 1 to 12 in Ontario schools have been based on the policies and practices described in Growing Success: Assessment, Evaluation, and Reporting in Ontario Schools – First Edition, Covering Grades 1 to 12.
In conjunction with the release of the new Kindergarten program in 2016 a policy document Growing Success – The Kindergarten Addendum: Assessment, Evaluation, and Reporting in Ontario Schools, 2016 was provided as a framework for reporting on the Kindergarten program. This document aims to maintain high standards, improve student learning, and benefit students, parents, and teachers in elementary and secondary schools across the province. |
